True Blood is an American fantasy horror drama television series similar to the vampire diaries that is based on Charlaine Harris’s Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels. Alan Ball is the creator and producer of True Blood, which stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgrd.
True Blood premiered on September 7, 2008, and lasted until August 24, 2014, with seven (7) seasons and eighty (80) episodes. Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid in Louisiana with the power to read people’s thoughts, is the protagonist of the show.
Her life, however, is turned upside down when the vampires in her town announce their existence to the rest of the world. What happened to Sookie after the vampires were disclosed to the world is what you’ll learn as you watch this series with a captivating plot.

Supernatural is an American television series that premiered on The WB on September 13, 2005 and ran until November 19, 2020, before being picked up by successor The CW. Eric Kripke created this fun, good television show similar to the Vampire Diaries.
The supernatural story follows two brothers who follow in their father’s footsteps as hunters, fighting and hunting down terrible supernatural beings such as monsters, demons, and even fallen gods that wander the earth while also striving to save innocent humans.
You may find yourself rewatching the show due to its addicting nature. Throughout the entire series, the plot and/or plotline are just great. It’s broken up into fifteen (15) seasons, each with three hundred and twenty (320) episodes. And believe me when I say that every millisecond is worth it.
4. Wolf Blood
Wolfblood is a British-German fantasy teen drama television series produced by Debbie Moon. The story centres around the life of the wolfblood species (A set of creature that has enhanced senses and looks like humans but can turn into wolves at will).
The Netflix television series The Vampire Diaries premiered on September 10, 2012, and ended on May 1, 2017, after five (5) seasons and 61 episodes. Wolfblood is a fantastic series that is both fascinating and upsetting to watch.
There’s drama, companionship, a little danger, and a lot more! The plot is interesting enough to write about. If you’re into cinematography and know what wacky programs are, you’ll realize that wolf blood isn’t one of them.
5. The Originals
The Originals is an American fantasy supernatural drama television show created by Julie Plec and starring Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, and Claire Holt, that is akin to the vampire diaries. The five-season series debuted on October 3, 2013 and ended on August 1, 2018.
The series follows Klaus Mikaelson, the first vampire-werewolf hybrid, as he and his family become entangled in the French Quarter’s supernatural politics. They will eventually settle in New Orleans, which they helped build several decades ago. They run into old friends as well as new opponents.

Scott McCall, an awkward adolescent, transforms into a werewolf after being bitten by one the day before sophomore year. He must adjust to his new persona while balancing his responsibilities as an adolescent and defending his village from attacks and otherworldly creatures.
Honestly, this 100-episode series like the Vampire Diaries isn’t just another program; it’s fantastic and absolutely worth watching! You will undoubtedly become addicted after watching a number of episodes. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters.
7. Charmed
Charmed, like The Vampire Diaries on Netflix, is an American fantasy drama television show. Jennie Snyder Urman, Jessica O’Toole, and Amy Rardin created the show. It is a revival of Constance M. Burge’s WB series of the same name, which originally aired from 1998 to 2006.
Mel and Maggie, who are still reeling from their mother’s untimely death, are met with yet another surprise on their doorstep in this series. Macy, a mysterious older sister that their mother had never informed them about, appears out of nowhere.

Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of a werewolf and a vampire, enters the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where she learns to control and harness her magical skills. I adore legacies, and I’m afraid it will have to come to a stop soon.

Instead, he finds a whole ‘nother breed of fiends waiting to bring out his dark side. Along the way, he joins forces with several other like-minded heroes looking to protect Angelenos from the demon threat.
This is just an amazing story, there’s action, drama, comedy, and a Lil romance. It’s not as entertaining as other shows, and it’s very adult, especially compared to Buffy which is often considered to be Angel’s older sister. But it’s a definite must-watch. You won’t regret it.
11. Being Human
Being human, a British supernatural comedy-drama television series produced and written by Toby Whithouse for BBC Three, is number nine on the list of good tv shows like vampire diaries. The show premiered on February 18, 2008, and ran for five seasons and 37 episodes.
The premise of the Being Human series follows a group of vampires and werewolves who decide to turn a new leaf by moving into a house together, only to discover that the new residence is haunted by the spirits of people who died in inexplicable ways.
Every day is a new adventure for them as they discover that living together wasn’t such a smart idea. I appreciate how the show reflects real-life difficulties with addiction, not fitting in, humanity,, and making good and terrible decisions. Overall, Being Human is a fantastic concept and story.
