Shows To Watch If You Like Manifest?

“If I loved Manifest, what should I watch?” is a typical question after watching season 3 and while waiting for season 4. To help you relax, I’ve put up a list of ten shows you should watch if you like Manifest. Take a look at the list below for an example.

Lost
Fringe
Sense8
The OA
The 4400
Travelers
Emergence
The Leftovers
The Flight Attendant
The Returned (French TV series)

1. The OA

The OA is an American mystery drama television series akin to the manifest that is filled with science fiction, supernatural, and fantastical aspects. Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij created the show, which ran on Netflix from December 16, 2016, to March 22, 2019, encompassing two seasons and 16 episodes.

In the series featuring Brit Marling, Prairie Johnson, a young woman who has been missing for seven years, reappears. “The OA” is her new moniker. While her sudden return isn’t the only miracle, she has now restored her sight after going blind shortly before leaving.

The sad part is that she has chosen to keep her family and the FBI guessing by refusing to share anything about her absence. Do you think they’ll find out if she was kidnapped and where she went while she was missing? It’s up to you to binge-watch and fulfill your curiosity.

2. The 4400

The 4400 is a science fiction television series created and written by Scott Peters and René Echevarria, starring Joel Gretsch and Jacqueline McKenzie, and featuring Joel Gretsch and René Echevarria. The series aired for four seasons and 44 episodes from July 11, 2004, to September 16, 2007.

The mysterious return of 4,400 people who mysteriously vanished 50 years ago is being investigated by an FBI team led by Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris. After years gone, many returnees struggle to re-establish their lives. More importantly, a handful of the returning characters have paranormal abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, and precognition.

The 4400 plot is an excellent notion that is both creative and well-executed. The personalities of people, as well as the “gifts” they got before returning to this world, are incredibly diverse. Premise: Aliens did not kidnap a society from the future. There’s so much innovation in the show that you’ll wish there was more.

3. Sense8

Sense8 is a two-season American science-fiction drama streaming television series produced by Lana, Lilly Wachowski, and J. Michael Straczynski for Netflix. The first season, on the other hand, aired on Netflix on June 5, 2015, and the last season, with 24 episodes, concluded on June 8, 2018.

The series follows eight strangers from all over the world, each having a special ability to connect with the thoughts and actions of others, as well as a pressing need to figure out what happened and why. As they search for answers, they are pursued by a strange group intent on annihilating them due to their unquenchable curiosity.

I am convinced that no other television show has ever had the same impact on you as sense8. You may feel as though you’re a part of their eight lives in each episode. The Wachowskis have done it yet again! In addition, the characters look excellent throughout!

4. The Returned (French TV series)

The story is set in a small French mountain hamlet where several dead people reemerge, seemingly alive and normal. As they try to resume their lives, weird events occur, including the emergence of bizarre marks on the bodies of both the living and the dead.

5. Emergence

Emergence is an American mystery thriller television series produced by Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas for ABC Studios. The series started as a Tuesday night entry on September 24, 2019, and lasted 13 episodes before finishing on January 28, 2020.

Jo, a police chief, takes in a young girl she finds near a horrible accident scene, but she has no idea what happened or who she is. The mother is lured into a conspiracy that is far broader than she could have imagined, and it revolves around the child’s identity.

Despite the fact that the show was canceled after only one season and thirteen episodes, it was significantly more enjoyable and did not hold back in any way. This show is far from perfect, but it does have some excellent casting and characters that are more well-thought-out and executed than 90% of today’s television.

ABC

6. The Flight Attendant

The Flight Attendant is an American black comedy mystery thriller streaming television series developed by Steve Yockey and based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name published in 2018. It premiered for one season and eight episodes on HBO Max on November 26, 2020, with a second season set to air in the spring of 2022.

Cassie teams up with an intriguing first-class traveler for what promises to be an inebriated and luxurious date. He was dead and covered in blood when she awoke the next morning. In a panic, she cleaned and fled the country. When she arrives in New York City, she realizes that her escape was not entirely clean and that this error is difficult to undo.

This is a must-see performance. The package includes comedy, drama, intrigue, emotions, friendship, family, and drink. It’s a fun, action-packed show with a terrific ending that no one could have expected. Among other things, the series has a well-written screenplay, thrilling plot twists, good acting, and excellent editing.

HBOMAX

7. The Leftovers

The Leftovers is a three-season, 28-episode American supernatural mystery drama television series developed by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta that aired on HBO from June 29, 2014, to June 4, 2017. The movie is based on Perrotta’s 2011 novel of the same name.

The story begins three years after the “Sudden Departure,” a global calamity that claimed the lives of 2% of the world’s population. As they try to adjust to life after the Departure, the story follows police chief Kevin Garvey and his family, as well as sad widow Nora Durst and her brother.

It’s quite a sight to see. This series has a strange feel to it. According to the show’s creators, the first season’s framework was nothing short of spectacular. The death of Nora’s family in episode 9 was tragic, but it did more to explain her character’s metamorphosis than anything else you’ve seen in a long time.

HBO

8. Lost

Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof created the American mystical and science fiction television series Lost. It started on ABC on September 14, 2004, and lasted until May 23, 2010, when it was canceled after six seasons and 121 episodes.

The tale centers around the survivors of a commercial jet plane crash on an unidentified island in the South Pacific, and the characters in the series are the survivors. Because they are not alone on the island, they must band together in order to survive.

Each episode usually includes a major storyline set on the island, as well as flashback or forward sections that provide viewers more information about the characters involved. This is the most intriguing manifest series I’ve seen so far. Don’t be put off by the length of the series; it’s well worth your time.

HULU

9. Travelers

Travelers is a Canadian-American science fiction television show created by Brad Wright and starring Eric McCormack, Mackenzie Porter, Jared Abrahamson, Nesta Cooper, Reilly Dolman, and Patrick Gilmore that premiered in Canada on October 17, 2016, lasted three seasons and 34 episodes, and ended on December 14, 2018.

The stage is set for the show. Hundreds of years in the future, in order to save humanity from extinction, a small group of living humans decides to come together in secret to carry out operations in the twenty-first century known as “travelers,” who take on seemingly random lives in order to save themselves and their loved ones from extinction.

Unfortunately, the travelers, who include an FBI agent, a single mother, and a college student, are only equipped with their knowledge of history and an archive of social media profiles, and they quickly discover that 21st-century relationships are just as challenging as their high-stakes missions.

Will they be able to complete this mission? That is something you will discover as you binge-watch this series, which is comparable to manifest.

10. Fringe

J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci created the American science fiction television series “Fringe.” From September 9, 2008, until January 18, 2013, Fox broadcasted five seasons and 100 episodes of the show. The series was influenced by events in the United States and television shows such as Lost, The X-Files, and The Twilight Zone.

The series follows investigators from the FBI’s Fringe Division, which is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and is overseen by Homeland Security, as they investigate a series of odd, and often terrifying, events tied to the secrets of a parallel reality.

Fringe is one of the most unappreciated shows you’ve ever seen, similar to manifest and Lost. It is founded on reality, even though it goes beyond the limitations and possibilities of science. Because the plots are never predictable, each episode leaves you feeling satisfied and compelled to watch “just one more episode.”
