The cast and crew of Heartland are continued working on Season 15, which will premiere on CBC on Sunday, October 17th at 7 p.m. and will be available to stream on CBC Gem starting at 7 p.m.

However, while we wait for season 15, I feel compelled to keep myself occupied until October 17th, so I compiled a list of TV Shows Like Heartland that are both must-watch and binge-worthy for any heartland lover.

What Are Other Shows Like Heartland?

What is another series like Heartland? If you liked heartland, there are other shows, movies, and/or series similar to it that you will enjoy watching. I’ve compiled a list of the greatest of them that are binge-worthy, but it’s important to note that the list order has no bearing on the series’ ratings or rankings.

Quick List of series like heartland;

  • Wildfire
  • The Ranch
  • Free Rein
  • The Fosters

The series, like the book, follows the adventures of three girls who join a Saddle club after discovering a passion for horseback riding. 2. Hart Of Dixie

Hart of Dixie is a four-season American comedy-drama television series that aired on The CW from September 26, 2011 to March 27, 2015. It was created by Leila Gerstein and broadcast on The CW from September 26, 2011 to March 27, 2015. Leila Gerstein conceived the show, which ran 76 episodes.

After her hopes of becoming a heart surgeon fall through, Dr. Zoe Hart, a New Yorker, accepts an offer to practice as a general practitioner in the fictional Gulf Coast town of Bluebell, Alabama. Dr. Wilkes had passed away by the time she arrives, leaving her half of the practice in his will.

The show is simultaneously refreshing, amusing, romantic, nostalgic, and wonderful. Throughout the narrative, there are several life lessons intermingled. In all seriousness, Hart of Dixie, like Heartland, is a must-see television show that is well worth the hype.

3. Parenthood

4. When Calls the Heart

The Canadian-American television drama series When Calls the Heart was created by Michael Landon Jr. and is based on Janette Oke’s book of the same name from her Canadian West series. The show started on January 11, 2014, and after 83 episodes and eight seasons, it has been renewed for a ninth season.

When Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher who has grown up in high society, is assigned to her first classroom in Coal Valley, she experiences culture shock. A small mining community faces numerous challenges, including a recent explosion that killed more than a dozen of the town’s workers, forcing all widows to work in the mines to make ends meet. Janette Oke’s books about the Canadian West served as inspiration for the show.

I have to admit, out of all the TV shows I’ve ever watched, this one is the most addictive. Greenleaf, Virgin River, and WCTH, on the other hand, would make you pleased as a person. Heartland, a Netflix show, is fantastic, and I can’t wait for season 8 to premiere.

5. Yellowstone

Yellowstone is a three-season, 29-episode American drama television series that premiered on the Paramount Network on June 20, 2018. It was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Between shifting alliances, unexplained crimes, raw wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton’s land is constantly in conflict with those it borders — a developing town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park. As you watch, you’ll learn what happens and how he handles each situation.

6. The Ranch

The Ranch is an American comedy-drama series that airs on Netflix. The Netflix series was created by Don Reo and Jim Patterson. The Ranch began on Netflix on April 1, 2016, and lasted four seasons, with a total of 80 episodes, before being cancelled on January 24, 2020.

The show follows the Bennetts, a dysfunctional family that reside on the ranch, as well as their constant disputes. The Bennett family consists of Colt Bennett, a former high school quarterback, and Rooster Bennett, the older brother. Their father Beau and mother Maggie are the other members of the family.

A lot of credit goes to the show’s one-of-a-kind approach. You’ll be gripped and immersed for the duration of the show, and you’ll surely be laughing your head off. There are tears and then there are moments when you’re laughing so hard you feel like you’re dying on the floor.

7. Free Rein

Free Rein is a British drama television series that premiered on Netflix on June 23, 2017 and ran for three (3) seasons and 32 episodes until ending on July 6, 2019. It is similar to Heartland. The television series Heartland was created and written by Vicki Lutas and Anna McCleery.

The series is centered in Anglesey, Wales, on a fictional, nameless island off the coast of England. A 15-year-old girl from Los Angeles visits her mother’s childhood home on an island off the coast of England for the summer, where she bonds with a mysterious horse.

If you enjoy horses, you’ll enjoy this superbly acted series set in the Midwest. Even if you don’t like horses, this show will make you fall in love with them. Overall, I appreciate how everyone collaborates to ensure that everyone feels good about their decisions and that no one is held accountable.

8. The Man From Snowy River

The Man from Snowy River is a 1982 Australian Western drama film based on Banjo Paterson’s poem of the same name. George T. Miller’s picture had its Australian premiere on March 25, 1982, before being released in the United States on November 5, 1982.

The plot of the one-hour-and-44-minute film is as follows: Jim Craig sets out to become his own man after the death of his proud father. Craig is treated severely by the more experienced cowboys when he accepts a job with horse rancher Harrison, but he wins the rancher’s daughter, Jessica’s heart.

If you haven’t seen this film, you’re missing out on a lot. You will not be able to stop watching the show after just one viewing; you will want to watch it again and again. It’s an entertaining film that will inspire you to ride and train horses.

9. Wildfire

Wildfire was a four-season, 52-episode American television series that aired on ABC Family from June 20, 2005, to May 16, 2008. From June 20, 2005, through May 16, 2008, it aired on ABC Family. The project was a collaboration between Lionsgate Television, Piller2, and The Segan Company.

Kristine Furillo gets a job as a stablehand at Raintree Farms after doing time in a juvenile detention institution for stealing a car. As she works her way up to jockey, she experiences romance and rivalry from Raintree’s ruthless enemies, the Davis Farm.

It’s a shame the show had to come to an end after season four. Overall, the acting was exceptional. It’s great for a young cast. A gorgeous ending tugged at our emotions throughout the series. You did a fantastic job. More of these types of stories are required.

10. The Fosters

The Fosters is an American television drama series set in the Midwest about a family. On June 3, 2013, ABC Family premiered the first three seasons of the show, with additional seasons showing on Freeform. On June 6, 2018, the show came to an end after five (5) seasons and 104 episodes.

The show covers the lives of the Adams Foster Foster family, which is led by lesbian couple Stef Foster and Lena Adams. Stef works as a cop, while Lena is a school’s vice-principal. The two of them work hard to raise their biological son and four other adopted teenagers in their San Diego home.

The actors do a fantastic job portraying their characters’ personalities, and the characters are entertaining to watch. This is a must-see for fans of family drama series. The Fosters comes to mind when you think of a show that is comparable to Parenthood. Today is The Fosters binge-watching day!
